Achieving Net-Zero Emission by Carbon Capture
To achieve zero-carbon emission by 2050, carbon capture is considered a necessary measure to reduce carbon emissions from power plants and industrial sources. Capturing CO2 from post-combustion flue gas at atmospheric pressure is costly due to the large equipment and significant energy for separation. This presentation will focus on the solvent-based carbon capture technology development and the associated challenges that should be overcome. To improve the capture efficiency and energy requirement, the approaches proposed in this presentation include solvent development and process development.
